Products designed to actually convey solid or liquid foodstuffs are available to meet a range of national and international food safety standards including FDA. These hoses can be supplied with all known types of end fitting used in these industries and can be fitted with swaged stainless steel ends, by using stainless steel band-it straps or stainless steel clamps to meet customer specification.
Applications where there is direct contact would include milk suction and discharge hose for in plant and vehicle use, hose for use with wines, beers and spirits and potable water. Rubber, PVC and silicone hose types are available with either a textile reinforcement only, wire helix or in re-shapeable rubber constructions to withstand crushing hazards. PTFE hoses are available to meet the more demanding applications.
Hoses designed for use within the food and drink industry but not actually conveying foodstuffs include steam hoses, hot and cold water wash down hoses including pressure jetting applications.

Where abrasion is a problem, we have hoses which can be used to convey substances such as sugar, flour and tablets.
