HYDRAULIC HOSE

 

Hydraulic fluid under pressure is potentially dangerous. Correct hose, coupling and assembly procedures are therefore of critical importance.

Our range includes low pressure, textile and wire reinforced hoses and medium and high pressure constructions to meet all SAE and international specifications.  Available as loose hose or in assembled form, the hose we supply is manufactured by internationally respected manufacturers including Gates Hydraulics.

Swageing equipment and high pressure test equipment are both available in all our branches. We provide both a local sales counter and delivery service of hose, couplings and adaptors from stock.

A wide range of ancillary products are also available, including a range of swageing equipment.

Thread End Compatibility
This is important to prevent leaking or blow off. Fittings seal in three ways - seat angles, thread interface and / or 'O' Rings. Incorrect sealing will cause leaks.
 
Temperature
Where extreme temperature fluctuations may occur, we would use 'O' ring couplings to ensure that the material is suitable for the temperature range.
 
Fluid Compatibility
It is important to ensure that both the hose and the 'O' ring (usually made from nitrile) are checked for fluid compatibility.
 
Use of Adaptors
Adaptors can make installation easier and eliminate the need for coupling orientation but they do introduce another possible leak point.
A wide range of couplings and adaptors is held in stock including a range of quick release couplings for medium and high pressure.
